The elder program partners with an organization that prepackages food boxes for monthly distribution. Tytoo is allotted 25 boxes each month, which we distribute to elderly in the community who don’t have family support. The elders in our program also receive monthly medical checkups and their medications are refilled. During the visits we pray with the elders, encourage them and try to meet any other needs they may have.
If you ever have the chance to visit Simonette, be sure to meet some of the elders, as they are some of the greatest and funniest people in the community!
